Ingredients

  • 200 ml water
  • 3 cardamoms crushed
  • 3 cloves crushed
  • 2- inch cinnamon stick
  • 1 tbsp instant coffee adjust to your taste
  • 400 ml fresh milk
  • 1 tbsp sweetened condensed milk optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract or essence optional
  • 1 teaspoon brandy optional

Instructions

  • Crush the cardamom pods and cloves.
  • Place the water, crushed cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon in a saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil and simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
  • Add the instant coffee and mix well.
  • Add the fresh milk and mix well.
  • Add the condensed milk. Mix well.
  • Then take it off the heat and let the mixture cool.
  • Once cool, strain the mixture into a large jug to get rid of the spice residue.
  • Lastly, add in brandy and vanilla if using. Mix well.
  • Serve chilled.
