- 200 ml water
- 3 cardamoms crushed
- 3 cloves crushed
- 2- inch cinnamon stick
- 1 tbsp instant coffee adjust to your taste
- 400 ml fresh milk
- 1 tbsp sweetened condensed milk optional
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract or essence optional
- 1 teaspoon brandy optional
Crush the cardamom pods and cloves.
Place the water, crushed cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon in a saucepan.
Bring to a boil and simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
Add the instant coffee and mix well.
Add the fresh milk and mix well.
Add the condensed milk. Mix well.
Then take it off the heat and let the mixture cool.
Once cool, strain the mixture into a large jug to get rid of the spice residue.
Lastly, add in brandy and vanilla if using. Mix well.
Serve chilled.
