Ingredients

  • 400 ml water
  • 5 cardamoms crushed
  • 5 cloves crushed
  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee
  • 200 g sweetened condensed milk
  • Sugar to taste, if using
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or essence
  • 1 tablespoon brandy

Instructions

  • Crush the cardamom pods and cloves.
  • Place the water, crushed cardamom, and cloves in a saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil and simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
  • Add the instant coffee and mix well.
  • Add the condensed milk and sugar if using. Mix well.
  • Then take it off the heat and let the mixture cool.
  • Once cool, strain the mixture into a large jug to get rid of the spice residue.
  • Lastly, add in brandy and vanilla essence. Mix well.
  • Serve chilled.

Notes

Before serving, dilute with cool water as needed
